Test It!

6th graders test their "robotic" arm's strength.

6th graders test their “robotic” arm’s strength.

Remember when the word “test” meant something more in schools than SOLs, DRAs ,eCART, etc.?  Like when we used to test things out to see if they worked?  Well, that’s how we use the word in STEM Lab.

So far this year, our kids have tested all kinds of designs in response to stated challenges  (building foundations, hand-pollinators, robotic arms, lunar landers, etc.).  Learning by testing instead of standardized testing to check certain kinds of learning.  Imagine that!

Still proud of STEM at PES!

Have a great weekend.
